Industrial belts served: Genome Valley · Jeedimetla · Patancheru · Pashamylaram · Shamshabad · Medchal · Bollaram
Hyderabad's cable tray demand is dominated by two sectors that want opposite things: bulk drug plants at Patancheru and Pashamylaram, where process chemistry drives the grade, and data centres around Shamshabad and Kothur, where segregation and spare capacity matter more than corrosion.
Being inland and relatively dry, Hyderabad does not need the coating thickness a coastal site does. Pre-galvanized indoors and hot dip galvanized outdoors covers most of the non-process scope.
Mitool Equipments Pvt. Ltd. manufactures cable management systems at MIDC Additional Ambernath in Thane district and supplies them throughout Hyderabad. We quote against your cable schedule and tray layout rather than a generic size list — send the drawing with the finish required and the quotation comes back with tray sizes, bends, reducers, coupler plates and supports listed line by line, with a dispatch date.
Slotted base that lets cable heat escape and allows clamping and hold-down at any point along the run. The highest-volume tray type on most Hyderabad projects.
Open rung construction for the heavy end of the cable schedule — feeds to motors, presses, compressors and switchrooms, on wider support centres.
Bolted rather than welded rungs, so spacing can be reset at site and individual rungs replaced without cutting the run apart.
Supplied in SS304 and SS316 where washdown, process chemistry or chloride exposure rules out a zinc coating.
Wall and structure brackets sized to carry the tray and the cable load above it, in matching material and finish.
The fittings that make a run continuous: bends, risers, reducers, tees, crosses, coupler plates and clamps, all in the tray's own grade.
A starting point for tray selection by application. Final selection follows your cable schedule, fill ratio and support spacing.
| Sector and belt | Typical tray | Usual finish |
|---|---|---|
| Pharmaceutical and API Genome Valley, Jeedimetla, Bollaram | Stainless perforated tray in classified and washdown areas | SS304 standard; SS316 for aggressive cleaning chemistry |
| Data centres Shamshabad, Gachibowli, Kothur | Perforated tray on segregated tiers with spare capacity | Pre-galvanized or powder coated; hot dip for rooftop |
| Bulk drugs and chemicals Patancheru, Pashamylaram | Ladder tray for main runs, perforated for instrumentation | SS316 in process areas, hot dip galvanized elsewhere |
| Aerospace and defence Adibatla, Hardware Park | Perforated tray for clean power and control | Pre-galvanized or powder coated |
| Engineering Medchal, Balanagar | Ladder tray for shop power | Hot dip galvanized |
Hyderabad sits inland with moderate humidity and no salt-laden air. That is not a trivial detail — it changes the economics of the tray package compared with a coastal site like Mumbai or Mundra.
Where the boundaries fall is a Hyderabad-specific judgement rather than a general rule. The building envelope is the line that matters, and it is worth drawing it explicitly on the tray layout rather than leaving it to be inferred. Across a site at Genome Valley, Jeedimetla or Bollaram that usually means the tray schedule is split into two or three finish bands rather than quoted at a single grade, and the saving on the lower band normally pays for the upgrade on the higher one.
Pre-galvanized sheet to IS 277, formed after galvanizing, is usually sufficient for runs inside a covered building and is the most economical option. At normal tray thicknesses the zinc protects cut edges by sacrificial action.
Hot dip galvanizing to IS 2629 and IS 4759, applied after fabrication, gives a heavier and more uniform coating that also covers welds and cut edges. Specify it for anything outdoors — rooftop solar, pipe racks, open yards, utility blocks. The monsoon at Hyderabad is long enough that this is the right call for any run not under a roof.
On Hyderabad projects specifically, the runs that get under-specified are the ones that start indoors and finish outside — a feed leaving a shed to a yard-mounted panel, or a rooftop route. The whole run usually gets priced at the indoor finish. It is worth walking the route on the drawing zone by zone before the order goes in — on a pharmaceutical and apigenome valley, jeedimetla, bollaram job around Genome Valley or Jeedimetla, that exercise usually changes two or three line items and costs nothing at enquiry stage.
Powder coating is chosen for appearance rather than protection and suits exposed runs in commercial interiors and IT fit-outs. It should sit over a galvanized base wherever moisture is expected, not over bare steel.

Tray in India is normally specified to IS 14927 — Part 1 for general requirements, Part 2 for trays and ladder systems including load class and span — with IEC 61537 cited as the international equivalent on multinational projects. Galvanizing is called out as IS 277 for pre-galvanized sheet or IS 2629 and IS 4759 for hot dip. Confirm all three at enquiry stage: standard, load class and support spacing. They have to agree with each other, and settling that before the order costs nothing.
Our works at MIDC Additional Ambernath is 2 to 3 days by road from Hyderabad. Deliveries run to Genome Valley, Jeedimetla, Patancheru, Pashamylaram, Shamshabad, Medchal, Bollaram. Trays are bundled and strapped for site handling, and accessories can be packed separately by zone where a project is erected in phases. For larger site packages we can stage dispatch against your erection schedule rather than delivering the full quantity at once.
Share the tray layout or bill of quantities with sizes, finish and accessories. You get back a line-by-line quotation with dispatch timing.

Our works is at MIDC Additional Ambernath, Thane, 2 to 3 days by road from Hyderabad, and we dispatch to all its industrial belts including Genome Valley, Jeedimetla, Patancheru, Pashamylaram, Shamshabad. Trays are supplied in standard 2500 mm and 3000 mm lengths, bundled and strapped for site handling.
Hyderabad is inland with no salt-laden air, so pre-galvanized tray to IS 277 is usually adequate for indoor runs inside a covered plant. Specify hot dip galvanized to IS 2629 for outdoor runs, rooftop solar and open yards. Use SS304 where washdown or product contact applies, and SS316 only where process chlorides are present.
Indoors, usually yes. Outdoors it is a false economy — monsoon exposure will reach the cut edges long before the design life is up. The usual approach at Hyderabad is pre-galvanized inside the building envelope and hot dip galvanized for everything beyond it.
Quantity and finish drive it. Hot dip galvanizing is an extra processing stage after fabrication, and stainless is made to order, so both take longer than pre-galvanized. Share the bill of quantities and the dispatch date is confirmed alongside the quotation.
Yes, against the standard your specification names. IS 14927 Part 2 is the usual Indian reference and IEC 61537 the international one. We need the load class and the support spacing from the drawing as well, because the three have to be consistent.
50 mm to 1200 mm width, 15 mm to 150 mm side rail height, 1.2 mm to 3 mm thickness and 2500 mm or 3000 mm standard length, in light, medium and heavy duty, with supports to 2000 mm. Non-standard sizes are made to order from your drawing.
