Industrial belts served: Urla Industrial Area · Siltara · Bhilai · Raigarh · Korba · Bilaspur
Chhattisgarh is a steel, power and coal belt, which means tray schedules weighted heavily towards ladder tray on high load classes with long support spans.
Heat and abrasive dust do most of the damage here rather than moisture. Routing away from radiant heat sources and closing up support spacing where conveyor vibration is a factor matters more than an upgraded finish in many of these plants.
Mitool Equipments Pvt. Ltd. manufactures cable management systems at MIDC Additional Ambernath in Thane district and supplies them throughout Raipur & Bhilai. We quote against your cable schedule and tray layout rather than a generic size list — send the drawing with the finish required and the quotation comes back with tray sizes, bends, reducers, coupler plates and supports listed line by line, with a dispatch date.
Ventilated base for heat dissipation. The default choice for control, instrumentation and mixed cabling in Raipur and Bhilai plants, fit-outs and commercial buildings.
Two side rails with welded rungs. Used for heavy power runs where cable weight, ventilation and long support spans matter.
Rungs bolted rather than welded, so rung spacing can be adjusted at site and a damaged rung replaced without cutting into the run.
SS304 and SS316 for pharmaceutical, food, chemical and washdown areas where galvanized finishes will not hold up.
Brackets and supports fixed to wall or structure to carry the tray run, supplied in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Horizontal and vertical bends, inside and outside risers, reducers, tee and cross sections, coupler plates and clamps in matching material and finish.
A starting point for tray selection by application. Final selection follows your cable schedule, fill ratio and support spacing.
| Sector and belt | Typical tray | Usual finish |
|---|---|---|
| Steel, sponge iron and rolling Urla, Siltara, Bhilai, Raigarh | Ladder tray for furnace, mill and induction power | Hot dip galvanized — heat and dust exposure |
| Power generation Korba, Janjgir, Raigarh | Ladder tray in switchyards and plant buildings | Hot dip galvanized throughout |
| Cement Baloda Bazar, Raipur belt | Perforated and ladder tray in dusty process areas | Hot dip galvanized |
| Aluminium and mineral processing Korba, Raigarh | Ladder tray for pot line and plant power | Hot dip galvanized; SS316 in pot room atmospheres |
| Coal handling plants across Chhattisgarh | Ladder tray on long outdoor spans and conveyor galleries | Hot dip galvanized |
Raipur and Bhilai runs hot and dry for most of the year, with high UV, large day-to-night temperature swings and airborne dust. Corrosion is slower here than on the coast, but thermal movement and dust loading become the things worth designing around.
Where the boundaries fall is a Raipur and Bhilai-specific judgement rather than a general rule. Roof level is the line that matters. Surface temperatures on an exposed roof here run far above ambient, and anything routed up there belongs in a different specification band. Across a site at Urla Industrial Area, Siltara or Bilaspur that usually means the tray schedule is split into two or three finish bands rather than quoted at a single grade, and the saving on the lower band normally pays for the upgrade on the higher one.
Pre-galvanized sheet to IS 277 performs well indoors at Raipur and Bhilai and is the economical choice for runs inside a covered building, where low humidity works in its favour.
Hot dip galvanizing to IS 2629 and IS 4759 is still the right specification outdoors. The driver is not rain but ultraviolet exposure and the thermal cycling that works at coating and fasteners over years of 40°C-plus summers — which is also why Raipur and Bhilai rooftop and ground-mount solar installations call for it almost without exception.
On Raipur and Bhilai projects specifically, the runs that get under-specified are rooftop and yard routes priced on the assumption that low rainfall means low risk. It is ultraviolet exposure and thermal cycling that do the damage here, not water. It is worth walking the route on the drawing zone by zone before the order goes in — on a steel, sponge iron and rollingurla, siltara, bhilai, raigarh job around Urla Industrial Area or Siltara, that exercise usually changes two or three line items and costs nothing at enquiry stage.
Two Raipur and Bhilai-specific points worth putting on the drawing: allow for thermal expansion at couplers on long outdoor runs, because the temperature swing is larger than most standard details assume; and remember that a perforated base helps dust fall through rather than collecting on the tray, which matters more here than in a humid climate.

IS 14927 Part 1 sets the general requirements for cable trunking and ducting systems; Part 2 covers cable trays and cable ladder systems, including load class and permissible span, and IEC 61537 is its international equivalent. Galvanizing is specified as IS 277 for pre-galvanized sheet or IS 2629 and IS 4759 for hot dip. Send us the standard, load class and support spacing from your consultant's drawing and the quotation will be built against them. The failure we see most often is tray arriving at site correct in every dimension but supplied to a lower load class than the support spacing on the drawing assumes.
Our works at MIDC Additional Ambernath is 4 days by road from Raipur and Bhilai. Deliveries run to Urla Industrial Area, Siltara, Bhilai, Raigarh, Korba, Bilaspur. Trays are bundled and strapped for site handling, and accessories can be packed separately by zone where a project is erected in phases. For larger site packages we can stage dispatch against your erection schedule rather than delivering the full quantity at once.
Share the tray layout or bill of quantities with sizes, finish and accessories. You get back a line-by-line quotation with dispatch timing.

Our works is at MIDC Additional Ambernath, Thane, 4 days by road from Raipur and Bhilai, and we dispatch to all its industrial belts including Urla Industrial Area, Siltara, Bhilai, Raigarh, Korba. Trays are supplied in standard 2500 mm and 3000 mm lengths, bundled and strapped for site handling.
Indoors, yes — pre-galvanized to IS 277 performs well in low humidity. Outdoors, hot dip galvanized to IS 2629 is still recommended, because the governing factors are ultraviolet exposure and thermal cycling rather than rainfall.
Thermal expansion at coupler joints. The day-to-night and summer-to-winter swing at Raipur and Bhilai is larger than many standard support details assume, so expansion provision on long outdoor runs is worth confirming at the design stage.
It depends on the quantity and the finish. Pre-galvanized material moves fastest; hot dip galvanizing adds a processing stage, and stainless tray is made to order rather than held in stock. Give us the quantities and finish and the dispatch date is confirmed with the price.
Yes. Tell us which standard applies — usually IS 14927 Part 2, or IEC 61537 on internationally written projects — along with the load class and support spacing, and the quotation and documentation are prepared against it.
Widths from 50 mm to 1200 mm, side rail heights from 15 mm to 150 mm, thicknesses from 1.2 mm to 3 mm, and standard lengths of 2500 mm and 3000 mm, in light, medium and heavy duty. Supports are available up to 2000 mm wide.
